Who Is Palette in Duskfade?
Palette is the fashion NPC of Tick Town, the safe hub town of Tearfeld. She runs the game’s cosmetic outfit system — and she has standards. Collect cosmetic outfits, dye them to taste with Flasks of Dye, and show her your most dazzling look to earn the “The mask of pain” achievement (15G).
Palette — Overview
Palette is a supporting character, not a fighter. She appears in Tick Town, the hub where Zirian rests between regions. Her role is the game’s lighthearted cosmetic side — a counterweight to the heavy emotional boss fights.
Where other NPCs push the story forward, Palette pushes your style forward. The outfits you find across Tearfeld are purely cosmetic, but Palette is the one who rewards you for caring about how Zirian looks. Dye them any color you like with Flasks of Dye (a collectible found throughout the world) and present your favorite combination to her.
How the Outfit & Dye System Works
- Collect cosmetic outfits. Outfits are scattered as collectibles across the four regions — some are rewards, some are hidden.
- Dye them with Flasks of Dye. Each Flask of Dye unlocks a new color. Mix and match to build a look that is uniquely yours.
- Equip your best look. Before visiting Palette, make sure your favorite dyed outfit is equipped.
- Show Palette. Talk to her in Tick Town while wearing your best outfit to trigger the achievement check.
Flasks of Dye are listed in the Collectibles guide. Stock up before you settle on a final look — more colors means more ways to impress Palette.
The “The mask of pain” Achievement (15G)
This is Palette’s signature achievement. To earn it:
- Collect at least one cosmetic outfit (more gives you options).
- Dye it with a Flask of Dye so it reads as your best look.
- Equip it, then talk to Palette in Tick Town to dazzle her.
