Duskfade Anchored Wilhelm Boss

Anchored Wilhelm — Boss Guide

The 8th boss, in Chronos Aeternum. Time made to hold you still.

How to Beat Anchored Wilhelm in Duskfade

Anchored Wilhelm is the eighth mandatory boss, fought in Chronos Aeternum just before the Clock Tower. The whole fight is a race to break his Time Anchors before they freeze you in place.

Anchored Wilhelm — Overview

8th Boss · Chronos Aeternum

Anchored Wilhelm is the eighth of Duskfade’s nine mandatory boss fights — the last gate before the Clock Tower and the Despair finale. The theme is time itself anchoring you. The arena is a crystalline time-rift with anchor points you must destroy to stay mobile.

Wilhelm plants Time Anchors that root you where you stand. The fight is a loop: destroy the anchors (grapple in, Heavy them) while dodging his beam, then punish the core during the unfreeze window. Let the anchors pile up and you are a sitting target.

Attacks & How to Counter

Time Anchor

Wilhelm drops anchors that root you. Grapple to a free point, then Heavy the anchor to shatter it before it locks your movement.

Freeze Beam

A beam that locks movement in a line. Time-freeze dodge through it, then hit the core — the dodge also breaks the freeze on you.

Chrono Slam

A slam that creates a slow-field. Stay mobile on the grapple rails and punish on recovery, never on the active field.

Phase Strategy

Phase 1 (100% – ~66% HP)

Two anchors at a time. Prioritize destroying them the moment they appear — a rooted Zirian cannot dodge the Freeze Beam. Once clear, land a short Heavy on the core.

Phase 2 (~66% – ~33% HP)

Four anchors plus the beam. Use slow-time to manage the field, and Heavy anchors in pairs. The core only opens after the anchors are down, so anchor-clearing is literally your damage phase.

Phase 3 (~33% – 0% HP)

Wilhelm enrages and anchors respawn fast. Do not try to clear them all — break the one nearest you, slip the beam, hit the core on its open window, then move. Greed on anchor-clearing gets you frozen.

Key Tips for Anchored Wilhelm
  • Anchors first, always. A rooted Zirian cannot dodge — clearing them is survival, not optional.
  • Grapple to a free point. Never try to walk out of an anchor; grapple breaks the line.
  • Heavy the anchor. Light hits are too slow — one committed Heavy shatters it.
  • Time-freeze the beam. The dodge both dodges and unfreezes you.
