Allira’s Role in the Story
After their grandfather — a clockmaker — passed away, Allira threw herself into studying the ancient ways of the Master Clockmakers. Her investigations accidentally unleashed the Inkies, a swarm of ink-like monsters, and trapped her inside the giant, ominous Clock Tower sealed with chains.
Allira is more than a rescue objective. She represents the personal stakes of Zirian’s grief. The Clock Tower feeds on memories of loss, and Allira’s presence there connects directly to the siblings’ shared past and their grandfather’s legacy.
The story was shaped by Narrative Designer Ricardo Chorques Mesa, drawing from his real experience of losing his grandfather — also a clockmaker. Allira’s capture is a metaphor for holding onto those we’ve lost.
Allira and Cuckoo
Cuckoo, the sassy clockwork bird that accompanies Zirian, is implied to have been built by Allira. In a sense, Allira is present on the journey even in captivity — through the companion she created. Cuckoo carries its own skill tree, and feeding it Upgrade Gears strengthens the support it brings to fights.
Voice & Cast
Duskfade features fully voice-acted cinematic cutscenes, with Zirian and Cuckoo’s banter and NPC conversations performed by a voice cast the developers have praised. As of launch, the studio has not published an official character voice-actor credits list, so we are not listing names we cannot verify. We will update this section if Weird Beluga releases cast details.
