Duskfade Volcano Path

Volcano Path & Opening Regions

Tick Town to Lantern Port — the first seven regions and the Wrath & Guayota boss gates.

Route 1 of 4 — The Volcano Path

This is the opening stretch of Duskfade, running from the hub town of Tick Town through the forest, the mines and up the volcano to the sea. It contains the first two mandatory boss fights — Wrath (in the Howling Geode) and Guayota (in the Prison of the Beast). Route order below follows the game’s confirmed story sequence.

Route Overview

Traversal Unlocks on this Route

Double Jump and the basic Timeflux come online early; Air Dash and the Rail-Grind unlock as you climb Mount Cinder. The standard advice is to master sword combat and double-jump platforming here and not stress about high-ledge collectibles until late-game mobility is unlocked.

Cleanup philosophy: play the story first, grab what is directly on your path, and leave the tricky vertical pickups for a post-credits sweep with full movement. The same region order is what the 100% route uses for its first cluster.

Region 1 — Tick Town

The opening town and first area of Duskfade. Zirian’s journey starts here under the Clock Tower’s eternal night; it is the hub for shops, upgrade vendors and the fast-travel network once unlocked. Spend a minute learning the layout — most cleanup runs begin here.

Collectibles reported here: N1-Coin, Music Box, Thieving Kitten.

Region 2 — Ezarus Forest

The first forest region on the opening path, with a story ability pickup and the game’s ethereal-forest biome. Easy platforming that teaches the grapple-and-jump rhythm.

Collectibles reported here: N1-Coin, Flask of Dye, Music Box, Upgrade Gear, Rainbow Ingot, Echo, Clock Heart Piece, Broken Stained Glass.

Region 3 — Scorched Grove

A scorched grove on the road toward the mines. Bridges the forest and the industrial mining region; watch for broken-stained-glass pickups tucked off the main path.

Collectibles reported here: N1-Coin, Flask of Dye, Music Box, Star Core Fragment, Upgrade Gear, Broken Stained Glass, Echo, Clock Heart Piece.

Region 4 — Starstone Mines

The mining region, and the gate to the first boss. The Wrath fight waits in the Howling Geode immediately after. Collect the mine-side pickups before the arena — you cannot return mid-fight.

Collectibles reported here: N1-Coin, Flask of Dye, Music Box, Star Core Fragment, Upgrade Gear, Thieving Kitten, Echo, Clock Heart Piece, Broken Stained Glass.

Boss Gate — Wrath (Howling Geode)

The 1st of nine mandatory bosses. See the Wrath boss guide for the time-freeze dodge windows.

Region 5 — Mount Cinder

A volcanic mountain and the approach to the second boss. Molten hazards and the Rail-Grind sections appear here; the Air Dash unlock makes the high ledges reachable later.

Collectibles reported here: N1-Coin, Flask of Dye, Music Box, Star Core Fragment, Upgrade Gear, Rainbow Ingot, Echo, Broken Stained Glass.

Boss Gate — Guayota (Prison of the Beast)

The 2nd boss. See the Guayota boss guide for the wall-crash punish window.

Region 6 — Meridian Village

A village hub region between the mountain and the port. A good place to spend collected currency on upgrades before the academy stretch.

Collectibles reported here: N1-Coin, Flask of Dye, Music Box, Upgrade Gear, Broken Stained Glass, Rainbow Ingot, Clock Heart Piece.

Region 7 — Lantern Port

The port area before the academy. It starts as a colourful seaside town and descends beneath the waves in places — the first real taste of the underwater biome that the Sea & Academy route expands on.

Collectibles reported here: N1-Coin, Flask of Dye, Music Box, Star Core Fragment, Upgrade Gear, Clock Heart Piece.
